It started with the cavemen, probably. They like the smell of someone, track them down, ask them to coffee, then dinner, then finally after a few months, after really getting to know them, move on to the next one.  Then things evolve.  They start to meet people online or in clubs, which is a great step--I mean, it saves many hours wasted on tracking prey all the way back to their caves.  Then came speed dating.  Five minutes is good.  One can meet a person, decide if their worth the effort, and if they're really experienced, have a whole relationship arc from start to finish in five minutes.

 

But now it's time for the newest dating breakthrough.  I give you--Dating Flash Cards.  For daters who have things to do and people to make split-second judgements about. And especially for those, like myself, who find five minutes way too long, or who simply believe speed dating is "so four minutes and twenty-two seconds ago."  Take my word for it--Valentines Day 2009: Card Is The New Clock. The Ultra Mind Solution This is a fantastic self-help preview.  It's like a full-blown, voiceover and effects, mini-infomercial...it's a minfomercial--As my grandma would call it.
